in Japan

Hi everyone!

I am here in Japan now!

I dont have a lot of time to write to you guys. Just wanted to say thanks for all the prayers and support and emails. Keep praying, cos it is kind of lonely here. And keep emailing!!!! The more the better!

I cant post any photos yet cos I dont have a firewire. Im currently at the uni and a newfound friend of mine (who is coming to QUT next year, btw) has used her friends number to log me in.....so im not sure how ok that is.......

We have done ministry in talking to ppl on campus. I have shared the kgp once, talked to a few ppl about CE, had a few spiritual conversations - this university is fairly open I guess. This is only the 4th day of ministry on campus.

Ive also met the Campus Crusade team here, and we have had a friendship party, which God used to bring about a fair few spiritual conversations. We went into the city on Saturday, and we saw Handels Messiah in the city, which was great. We also had a Thanksgiving celebration.

Pray for me, cos I am feeling a bit down, despite all of this, and I am having some spiritual struggles. I miss home a lot too, so it is hard, cos I dont have anyone close by to call on.

Take care everyone! Miss you all!

Panic!

Mum thought that I might need a visa to go to Japan. So did her friend.

This was making me a bit stressed, considering I only have 3 days until I leave the country.

Thankfully this was on the Japan Embassy website:

Temporary Visitor's Visa

Permitted activities

Holiday, visiting relatives, participating in athletic tournaments as an amateur, business trip not involving the earning of money in Japan, attending lectures or trade fairs, academic surveys, research presentations or other similar activities during a short period of stay in Japan.
As of 1 December 1998, Australians travelling with a valid Australian passport no longer need a visa if their purpose of travel to Japan is for the above activities and the proposed period of stay is no more than 90 days. The Australian passport must remain valid during the period of the stay but there is no minimum period of validity required.

Whew!

Thanks for the prayers guys - I appreciate them soooo much. I wish I could take you all there with me! :-)

Japan!

I have 9 days until I go to Japan....

I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me - some of you I don't even know, but God does, and I hope He blesses your socks off!!!! Because each and every one of you have sure blessed me.

I was getting stressed about how I was going to raise the support in time....but I checked and as of today I only have $700 to raise!!! :-D I have no idea where some of this money has come from, so if you have supported me and I don't know who you are, I just want to say thank you sooooo much.

I also want to say that God is the one who has organised all this - He knows exactly what He's doing. This trip is about depending on Him.

2 Corinthians 9:12-15
This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
