Japan - our apartment

The toilet. Note the tap at the top. When you flush, clean water comes out of the tap. You rinse your hands and the rest of the water is used to re-fill the toilet. Nice water-saving device. Maybe the State Government could take it on board.

Our bathroom/laundry area

The bedroom Jess and I shared

The げんかん (genkan) - entrance to the house where you take off your shoes. (Those aren't the shoes of 3 people - more like 6 people in the house at the time plus the shoes of the missionary who lives there and all her guest slippers)

Our shower

Our kitchen/dining room

With a cupboard and microwave

Our lounge room/Wai Ling's bedroom
