Question
I heard this at VACC last night:
What do you wish you'd been told about Christianity by the older Christians when you first became a Christian?
Some responses (but feel free to expand on these, if you made them!)
- I wish they'd told me how good it was
- That being childlike is important
- That they've stuffed up and they still do
- That sometimes you'll make mistakes, or you'll be mad or disappointed with God
- That little things shouldn't get in the way of unity, of being the body of Christ
What about you? You can have as many as you like :-)

about the importance of accountability and talking honestly with other christians about how we're going, and the importance of praying together.

I think that whilst we may have wanted to be told those things when we became a Christian, perhaps it's best that we weren't. Particularly if you wanted to have known how difficult it was going to be!
You never know how knowing those things may have changed your decision. And who knows where you may have ended up today!!

not all Christians are united.
some older Christians will assume that, while you are a new Christian, you dont know why you believe what you do (especially if their doctrine is different to yours, and this supports their doctrine) - it doesnt make them right.
